Unemployment rate drops in April

The unemployment rate dropped in all 77 counties in Oklahoma during April compared to March and also in April of 2021.

Latimer County had the highest rate at 5.8 percent. Cimarron County had the lowest rate of 1.3 percent.

LeFlore County’s rate dropped to 3.5 percent compared to 3.7 percent in March.

For April, the county’s labor force was 19,286, 18,611 were employed and 675 unemployed. In March, the labor force was 19,474, the labor force was 18,750 while 724 people were unemployed.

Last year, in April of 2021, the unemployment percentage was 4.99 percent.
