In what was at times a contentious meeting, visitors to Heavener’s City Council meeting Thursday questioned the timing of doing something about the old city hall and the use of city funds to help with renovations to the Heavener Runestone Park.
Present for the Council meeting were Mayor Max Roberts, along with Council members Melinda Ballantine, Joey Clubb, Jim Roll and Marvin Meredith.
The meeting was fairly routine until the public comments section.
