Carl Albert State College has announced Taymen Vocque, a sophomore scholars program student from LeFlore, represented the institution at the George and Donna Nigh Leadership Academy from Feb. 1 to Feb. 4.

Each year, institutions across Oklahoma nominate one student to attend the leadership academy, which provides a select group of students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, engage in networking with state leaders and gain insight into public service and governance. Participants also receive a scholarship for their involvement in the program.

Vocque, a graduate of LeFlore High School, is currently pursuing a business administration degree. His selection for this  academy is a testament to his academic achievements, leadership potential, and commitment to making a positive impact.
