Week 4 standings

Week 3 has mixed results for county teams

The final tune-up for the start of football district openers next week for most of the LeFlore County schools had mixed results.

Talihina stayed perfect with a 43-8 win over Broken Bow’s JV team Thursday night, Panama bounced back from last week’s loss to Heavener with a 39-13 win over Wilburton and Arkoma, which does not start districts next week, improved to 4-0, with another blowout win, 66-16, this week at Bowlegs.

Heavener and Pocola dropped their first games as the Wolves lost big at Arkansas power Charleston, 55-0 (see STORY) and the Indians found out why Vian has pretty much ruled small school football over the last couple of decades as the Wolverines blew out the Indians, 67-34.

In the Battle of the Bulldogs, Muldrow got its offense going in the second half and defeated Spiro, 36-7.

Poteau, 2-1, had a bye this week and visits Stilwell in the Pirates’ district opener next week.
