Whitworth to play in all-state meet
Poteau’s Connor Whitworth will play for the east time in the all-state golf matches, which will be played July 22 at 8:30 a.m. at Cherokee Hills Golf Club in Catoosa.
He will be coached by Ron Anderson of Ada. The only other area player is Stigler’s Kaden Risenhoover.
Whitworth shot a 220 over three rounds to finish third at the state Class 4A tournament.
