The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 6 a.m. Tuesday through 3 a.m. Wednesday.

accumulations between 1 and 4 inches and ice accumulations between
a tenth and two tenths of an inch possible. Higher ice
accumulations to near a quarter inch will be possible near the
ridge tops in the Ouachitas of southeast Oklahoma.
The advisory is for in Arkansas, Crawford, Franklin, and Sebastian Counties.
In Oklahoma, Muskogee, Okfuskee, Sequoyah, Okmulgee, Haskell,
Latimer, Le Flore, McIntosh, and Pittsburg Counties.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Tuesday evening commute.

An extreme cold warning is also in effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday to noon Thursday.
The cold wind chills as low as 6 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
