After making the playoffs for the first time in 12 years, Heavener’s football team was recognized on the 2A-6 team that was announced Thursday.
The Wolves improved from 2-8 last season to 7-4 this year and a third-place finish in the district.
P.J. Riddley, who rushed for over 1,000 yards, for the second straight year, was named the offensive most valuable player, Jackson Clubb was the quarterback of the year, Camden Broyles was named the tight end of the year, Fernando Villanueva was the punter of the year, Carson Payne was the outside linebacker of the year, Jaxon Armstrong was the cornerback of the year, Devry Ritter was on the all-district team as a wide receiver, Jacob Vickers, Travis Kincaid and Kevin Bretado were named to the offensive line, Cochise Courturier and Jerami Casteel were on the defensive line and Jadon Long was an inside linebacker.
