Branson wins easily over Poteau, 8-3, Saturday in the Tiger/Zebra spring classic Saturday in high school baseball.

Coby Bell pitched the first 2.2 innings, giving up one hit and two runs with three walks and three strikeouts, Logan Walker went the next 2.1 innings, allowing two hits and no runs with two walks and a strikeout before Aiden Sockey finished the final 2 innings, giving up five hits and six runs on two walks and one strikeout.

Kord Fenton led Poteau at the plate, going 2-3 with a RBI.

Up next

The Pirates are now 9-3 and scheduled to host Sallisaw Monday as Poteau returns to district play.
