Evelyn Louise Brown
Evelyn Louise Brown of Heavener (formerly of Poteau) was born March 18, 1938 in Reichert to James and Opal (Cogburn) Hemphill and passed away Dec. 19, 2024 in Heavener at the age of 86.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Monday 23, 2024 in Reichert Cemetery with Reverend Bob Cherry officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Evelyn loved spending time with her family. She also loved quilting, crocheting, ceramics, and going to garage sales.
Survivors are her husband of 70 years, Charles J.R. Brown, of Heavener; one daughter Helen Hyatt and husband Jack of Hontubby; eight grandchildren Christy Terry, Cerese McGee, Jennifer Cochran, Wayne Anderson, Joe Anderson, Lafe Anderson, K.C. Hyatt and Ashley Childers; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debbie Reeves; two sons Calvin Brown and Monte Brown; and two sisters Syble White and Dona Newell.
Pallbearers are her grandsons.
Viewing is from 1 until 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
