Funeral service for Sandra Chester, 76, of Heavener is 10 a.m. Monday at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Reverend Danny Southerland and Kenny Bryant officiating.
Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She was born July 12, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Betty Jean Jones and passed away Aug. 21, 2024 in Heavener.
Survivors include her daughters Lacrisha Southerland and husband Danny, Janell Havens and husband Terry; sons Tracy Cannon, Glendon Chester and wife Barbara; sister, Velma Jean Zavala; grandchildren Danny Southerland II, Christian Karpenski, James Southerland, Stephanie Southerland, Brandon Havens, Anthony Havens, Alyssa Havens, Brandy Canon, Kally Canon, Gayla Broostin and Gina Eastman; and many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Burton Chester; and brother, Roy Dean Jones.
Pallbearers are Danny Southerland, Danny Southerland II, James Southerland, Rodney Diestelmcier, Terry Havens and Terry Earls. Honorary pallbearers are Christain Karpenski and Glendon Chester.
Visitation is Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. with the family visiting with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
