Heavener rallies past Hartshorne, 15-9
Heavener’s High School baseball team won its third straight baseball game Thursday by overcoming an early 7-run deficit against Hartshorne to rally for a 15-9 win.
The Wolves are now 3-6 and host Roland in a district game Monday.
Hartshorne put Heavener into an early hole by scoring seven runs in the top of the first inning before Bryce Early came in for the Wolves and silenced the Miners’ bats.
The Wolves rallied for five runs in the bottom half of the first inning and eventually took the lead for good with a 6-run rally in the bottom of the third inning.
Early pitched the final six innings, holding Hartshorne without a hit and giving up one unearned run with five strikeouts and two walks.
Angel Alvarez doubled and was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, Hagen Ritter doubled while going 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, Devry Ritter doubled and finished 2-2 with three runs and two RBI and Jackson Clubb had a 2-3 outing with a RBI.
