Howe sweeps LeFlore in doubleheader
Howe captured both games in a doubleheader with LeFlore Tuesday by identical, 7-5 scores.
Howe improves to 8-6 and is scheduled to host Smithville Thursday.
Game one
In the opener, LeFlore grabbed an early lead before Howe rallied to take the lead for good in the second inning.
Andrew Covey pitched one inning, allowing one hit and three runs with four walks and a strikeout before being replaced by Garrett Smith who threw four innings to get the win. He gave up three hits and two runs with five strikeouts and no walks.
Ethan Dalton doubled and was 2-2 with a run while designated hitter Cole Wann went 2-3 with a RBI.

Game two
In the second contest, Howe scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead for good.
Wesley Toney went the first three innings, allowing four hits and five runs with four walks. Smith finished the final two innings, giving up no hits or runs with one strikeout.
Wann doubled and was 1-1 with two RBI and two runs while Kobe Wooten also doubled while going 1-1 with a RBI.
