LeFlore County commissioners conclude 2022 meetings

By KEN MILAM

POTEAU – LeFlore County commissioners ended the calendar year with a relatively short agenda at Monday’s meeting.

It was the last meeting for District 3 Commissioner Craig Olive and District 1 Commissioner Derwin Gist, who did not seek re-election.

Gist was absent and did not attend the meeting.

Olive, chairman of the board, thanked all the people he worked with during his tenure on the board.

He said he enjoyed serving LeFlore County but “it’s time to move on to another chapter.”

“We tried our best to work with everybody and include everybody in the county,” he said.
