Obituary for Martha Yeager

Funeral service for Martha Sue Yeager, 86, of Chickasha is 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Memorial Chapel in Poteau with Reverend Clyde Hess officiating.

Burial will follow at the Shady Point Cemetery, under the direction of Grace Funeral Service of Poteau.

Martha was born Aug. 10, 1937 in Lawton to Susie (Pettit) Kilgore and Horace J Kilgore and passed away Dec. 17, 2023 in Chickasha. She married William “Bill” Yeager July 30, 1952 in Hale Center, Texas. Together they raised five children. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent many years in the ministry teaching the word and working to bring people to Christ..

Survivors include her husband, Bill Yeager; daughters Debra Yakel and husband Steve, and Karen James; sons Robert Yeager and wife Cathy, David Yeager and wife Alice, Randy Yeager and wife Belinda; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Donahou; brother, John Kilgore; many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law Paul and Fannie Yeager; son-in-law, Cecil James; six brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers are Robert Yeager, Randy Yeager, David Yeager, Matthew Yakel,  Daniel Yakel and Michael Yeager
