The LeFlore County Election Board has announced a primary election will be held for board of education office No. 4 in Pocola and Poteau Feb. 13, 2024.
State law mandates a primary election be held if more than two candidates file for the same school board office.
The candidates for Pocola are Gaylon E. Freeman, Ronnie Joe Piovesan and Terry Smith. For Poteau, candidates are Gary Hecht, Tony Riley and Ramona Smith.
