PRYOR – Poteau split its two games Friday at Pryor in a Class 4A regional tournament.
The Pirates opened with a blowout, 15-4, win over Berryhill before losing to Pryor in the late game, 14-4.
Poteau is 16-18 and plays Hilldale Saturday with the winner advancing to play Pryor. If either Poteau or Hilldale wins both games Saturday, another game will be held Monday.
In the win over Berryhill, Caden Fox got the win, going the distance and allowing five hits and four runs, here earned, with four strikeouts and four walks.
Fox helped his cause by going 3-3 with a double and three RBI, Dax Collins tripled while going 2-4 with two runs, Jagger Dodson had a 2-4 outing with a double and two RBI and Holden Mattox went 2-4 with two RBI and a run

In the second game, Poteau jumped ahead early before Pryor used two big innings to seal the win.
Ben Brooks started and went 4.2 innings with nine hits and 13 runs, seven earned, with five strikeouts and five walks before Calloway Warren finished up, giving up two hits and one run with a walk.
Logan Walker went 2-2 with a RBI for Poteau at the plate and Kord Fenton had a 2-2 outing with a run scored.
