The Poteau Police Department and LeFlore County EMS were dispatched to Poteau High School on a call of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2001 Jeep, driven by a 17-year-old student was traveling through the parking lot and collided with a 15-year-old female student who was walking.
The female was transported by EMS for injuries sustained from the collision.
The collision remains under investigation.
