Wister edges Allen
Wister scored four runs, including two in the bottom of the seventh, to edge Allen, 5 to 4 in fast pitch softball Tuesday.
The Lady Wildcats are 12-3 and visit Allen Wednesday.
Kalea Underwood started off the rally in the seventh inning with a double. After a walk to Maggie Wilson, Underwood advanced to third and scored on a single by Bailyn Robertson to tie the score. Jordan Makovy then singled to bring in Underwood with the winning run.
Underwood got the win for Wister. She pitched all seven innings, giving up eight hits and four runs, all earned, with 15 strikeouts and no walks.
Hattie Pate doubled twice and finished 2-3 with two runs scored and a RBI, Underwood doubled while going 1-2 with a run and Irelyn Cooper also doubled in a 1-1 outing with one RBI.
