Heavener performs well in inaugural meet

Heavener cross country had an outstanding performance in the inaugural Heavener Cross Country meet Tuesday as there were three plaques and many medals for Heavener runners.

Heavener Elementary started the meet with the highest placing finishers Jessalyn Kaye and Ethan Anderson.

The junior high girls were led by Gracie Springfield. Jenna Scroggins, Kanan Summers and Kambrie Oliver also medaled.

The junior high boys were second with Diego Cruz winning his race. Also receiving medals were Jerrod Boss, Hernan Alvarado and Kaylub Kaye.

The high school girls were third, led by Allison Palmer. Also receiving medals were Alexa Cruz, Chloe McMahan and Christa Keller.

The high school boys were meet champions. Steven Cruz was the champion and Seth Lynch finished second. Also receiving medals were Said Garcia-Perez, Abel Carrizales, Issac Cook, Parker Brand and Dawson Frizzell.
