Obituary for Jim Toner Sr.

Funeral Service for James Andrew “Jim” Toner Sr. is 1 Friday at Mallory-Martin Chapel in Spiro with Reverend Vernon Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

He was born May 17, 1975 in San Bernardino, California to Cheryl Adeline (Metzermacher) and Thomas Peter Toner and passed away Aug. 27, 2023 in Pocola.

He married Amber Treadway May 2, 1997 in Redlands, California.

Jim was a loving, caring, genuine all-around good guy. He left an imprint on anyone and everyone that he ever crossed paths with. He was a true treasure, a diamond in the rough. In his free time he loved cooking/grilling, amusement parks, watching his 49ers, traveling and being on the beach, river or lake telling dad jokes, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his loved ones. He was one of the hardest workers that you would ever meet, a true jack of all trades, and willing to spare a helping hand no matter what. The true definition of selfless.

He is survived by his companion, Amber Treadway-Toner; daughters Kristen Toner, Britney Kannady and husband Derrick, Amanda Toner, Summer Toner and Lauren Satterfield; sons Jimmy Toner and wife Cassie; sisters Patricia Tisnado and husband Phillip, Christi Bray and husband Bill, Kathy Joyner and husband Ivan, Julie Hanson and husband Jack, and Melisa Toner; brothers Tom Toner and wife Holly, and John Saunders and wife Adrianna; mother, Cheryl Toner; grandchildren James Orozco, Aubree Fisher, Aleah Fisher, Connor Jones, Carson Kannady, Tinley Kannady, Genna Kannady, Emily Southerland, Bailey Southerland, Brinley Southerland, Adley Swain, Cameron Toner and Madeline Toner; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Toner; maternal grandparents Ellen Katherine and Charles Andrew Metzermacher; paternal grandparents Ethel Louise and James William Toner; and grandson, Brantley Moss.

Pallbearers are Tom Toner, John Saunders, Jimmy Toner, Justin Zeidler, Mike Treadway, Derrick Kannady, Jerry Watie, Shannon Kannady, Dustin Orozco, Jeffery Fountain, and Johnathan Thornburg.
