The 29-year-old driver of a vehicle involved in an accident Dec. 14 on Lock and Dam Road, 2.1 miles east of Spiro, passed away Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Devin Goswick, 29, of Pocola was driving south of Lock and Dam Road at a high rate of speed, departed the road before hitting a dirt driveway and flipped several times, ejecting the driver before the vehicle came to rest.
He was initially transported to Baptist Hospital in Fort Smith by LeFlore County EMS before being transferred to Washington Regional Hospital.
Seat belts were equipped, but not in use. Airbags were equipped and deployed.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Matt Dyer, assisted by Trooper Michael Scantling, the LeFlore County sheriff’s office and LeFlore County EMS.
