Wolves sweep pair from Wister
By CRAIG HALL
It was the start of a new season and a new beginning for Heavener’s basketball teams Tuesday night when Wister came visiting.
Heavener’s girls, coming off a so-so season, were dominant in winning, 44-19, while the Wolves, in their first game under new Coach Jody Clubb, held the lead for most of the game and held off the previously undefeated Wildcats, 56-48.
Both Heavener teams are in action again Friday at Spiro. Wister hosts Kinta, also Friday.
In the opener, Heavener’s girls looked like a totally different team than the one from last year, in the big win.
