Howe holds first student air rifle meet

HOWE — The Howe Lions air rifle teams had a good showing at the first SAR (Student Air Rifle) meet in Oklahoma Wednesday at Howe High School.

In the high school division, the Lions won first with individual awards going to Phoenix Duncan finishing first, Darren Hudlow was second, Kimber Bryan fourth and Jordyn Kennison fifth.

The junior high team also took first with the Lions taking all the top six spots. Lexi Burnett was first, Aiyden Horn second, Aiden Gunnels third, Ryan Dugan fourth, Sylus Cooper fifth and Diesel Robertson sixth.

In the elementary division, Howe was runner-up. Adin McBride took third, Ella Thomas was fourth and Kearsyn Burgess was fifth.

The marksmanship award went to Lexi Burnett with the Howe junior high, who was the top overall shooter for the match.
