A 56-year-old Poteau man died in a 2-car automobile accident Saturday at approximately 8:36 p.m. on Midway Road, approximately three miles southeast of Poteau.
Carl Grayson was driving a 1995 Jeep Wrangler when his vehicle and the 2014 Ford truck driven by David Hudgens, 66, of Hartford, Arkansas collided, causing Gray’s vehicle to run off the roadway and overturn.
Grayson was pronounced deceased at the scene by LeFlore County EMS. Hudgens was not injured,
Seatbelts were equipped in both vehicles, but worn only by Hudgens. Airbags were equipped in both vehicles, but were not deployed in either vehicle.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Joshua Wiles, assisted by Trooper Blake Palmer, Trooper Tim Baker, the Monroe Fire Department, Leflore County EMS, and Leflore County Sheriff’s Office.
