Yukon man hurt in wreck

A 28-year-old Yukon man is in critical condition at St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas with leg and internal injuries after he failed to yield from a stop sign and crashed into a 2018 Dodge Ram truck.

Jeremy Furr was driving a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on Pocahontas Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into the truck driven by Kyle Carson, 54, of Alba, Texas.

The accident occurred Thursday at approximately 2:17 p.m. four miles west of Wister in LeFlore County.

Furr was transported by Airevac. Carson, along with passengers Camacho Padron, 49, of Cipriano, Mexico and Juan Torres, 26, also of Alba, were not injured.

Seatbelts were equipped and in use in the Dodge truck. Airbags were equipped, but did not deploy in the truck. 

The accident was investigated by Trooper Michael Scantling, assisted by Trooper Ryan Williams, Wister Fire Department, Leflore County EMS, and Airevac.
