Heavener’s boys and girls had already opened the season and won their openers Tuesday over Wister.
Spiro didn’t open until Heavener visited Friday, but the home team looked more like a team with experience under their belts.
Both Spiro teams controlled the final quarter to get the wins. Spiro visits Vian Tuesday while Heavener is home Tuesday to open Black Diamond Conference play with Stigler,
The Lady Bulldogs won 45-33, while Spiro’s boys took a 63-46 victory.
