Bond elections pass easily

A pair of school bonds in Heavener and Panama passed easily in Tuesday’s elections.

In Heavener, a proposition for a $1.3 million bond in Heavener passed by 125 votes (61.5) percent to 78 (38.4) percent in Tuesday’s election.

The bond will do several projects such as repaving the high school parking lot and construct an entry way for the visitor side of Harvey Stadium.

Panama’s election showed 188 voters (70.6 percent) in favor of the bond with 78 voters (29.s) percent of the voters were against it.
