Wins by Poteau, Heavener, Spiro and Panama set up big games for Week 9 contests next week that will have huge playoff implications.
Poteau stayed undefeated in 4A-4 play with a 28-13 win at Sallisaw to set up a home game with undefeated Ada next Friday. The winner of that game will likely be district champions. Both Poteau and Ada are 8-0 and 5-0. Sallisaw, which will likely finish third, is 5-3 and 3-2.
With wins over Wilburton and Hugo Thursday, Heavener and Spiro set up the biggest matchup between the LeFlore County rivals in over a decade next week at Harvey Stadium in Heavener.
