FORT GIBSON–Poteau’s girls scored 11 runs in the first inning of a 16-0 rout of Fort Gibson Thursday in district play.
The Lady Pirates improve to 11-5 and are home Tuesday against Muldrow.
Emma Hackler pitched all three innings for Poteau, allowing one hit with four strikeouts and a walk.
Parker Patterson led Poteau at the plate, hitting a triple and going 3-3 with four RBI, Emma Walker doubled while going 1-1 with two runs scored and Annika Dill also doubled while going 1-1 with two runs and a RBI.
