An 18-year-old man from Poteau was injured in a motorcycle accident Tuesday on Calhoun Road, approximately three miles west of Shady Point.
Tristian Fleet of Poteau was going west, lost control of the bike, departed the road to the right, went into a ditch and overturned where he was thrown from the motorcycle.
He was airlifted to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he is stable with head and trunk internal injuries.
The accident report listed the cause of the wreck as speed. A helmet was not worn.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Wes Odom, assisted by Trooper Kyle Ward, Trooper Joshua Wiles, Trooper Blake Palmer, the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office and LeFlore County EMS.
