Stigler man arrested at CASC

On Tuesday at approximately 11:30 p.m. Carl Albert State College campus police officer Jackie Linville responded to a call of a male subject causing a disturbance around the dorm buildings.

Linville located and arrested Nicholas Scott Wind, 20, of Stigler for public intoxication as he showed signs of intoxication and was not a resident in the dorms.

During the course of booking Wind, Linville discovered that Wind was a tribal member of the Choctaw Nation. Since Linville is not cross commissioned with the Choctaw Nation, he obtained the assistance of Poteau Police Department Sergeant Brandon McDaniel, who is cross commissioned.

McDaniel took custody of Wind, transported him to the Leflore County Detention Center, and filed the affidavit of warrantless probable cause custodial arrest with the Tribal Prosecutor’s Office.
