A Wister woman was injured in a single-car accident at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Old Wister Highway, approximately three miles east of Wister.
Chellsie Leon White, 33, of Wister was driving a 2002 GMC Yukon east, departed the road on the left, reentered the roadway, overcorrected, then departed back to the left side and overturned 1.5 times before coming to rest on the passenger side.
She was taken by lifeflight to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
The cause of the accident was listed on the accident report as inattention. Seat Belts were equipped, but not in use. Airbags were equipped, but did not deploy.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Jason Waits, assisted by LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, Wister Police Department and Wister Fire Department.
