Howe trustees move forward with repairs

The Howe Board of Trustees met in their monthly business meeting and hired Johnny Pitchford from Pitchford Electric for electrical work on the Paul Richardson building.

Present were chairperson Phyllis Fields, and trustees Jon Earp, Darrin Williams and Nancy Cox. Amanda Paul was absent.

The trustees approved the bid for electrical work and also to spend up to $1,000 for camera surveillance inside and outside the building, but tabled a motion for duct work bids.

Abigail McGarrah was approved to attend the Oklahoma Municipal League’s USDA rural federal grant program in Guthrie Feb. 28.

Trustees also approved replacing speed limit signs in town on old Highway 59 North and the resignation of Quason Mitchell from the police department along with the usual reports.
