Jackets rally past Asher

BATTIEST—Cameron used a big rally to take the lead and then had to hold off a late Asher rally in a 7-6 win Thursday in a high school baseball game at the Battiest Tournament.

The Jackets, now 7-1, are scheduled to play Haworth Friday in the tournament, weather permitting.

Mason Francis threw six innings to get the win for Cameron before Karson Burkes came on in the last inning to get the save. Francis had six strikeouts and allowed four hits and three runs, two earned, with two walks. Burkes allowed three hits and two runs, both earned, with a strikeout and a walk in his only inning of play.

Gavin Morgan led Cameron at the plate, going 2-4 with two RBII and a run.
