Mustangs race past Midway

MIDWAY—Arkoma built a 42-0 lead early in the third quarter before a second-half shootout ensued.

Arkoma is 1-0 and is scheduled to host Webbers Falls Thursday.

Cody Morales went 5/6 passing for 206 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 79 yards and three scores and ran for two 2-point conversions.. On defense, Morales had four tackles and a recovered fumble.

Carl Brake ran for 39 yards and had nine tackles, with 3 for a loss.

Kingston Farrar had 10 tackles, including two for a loss.

Scout Smith had three catches for 111 yards and two TD’s. He also had a big night on defense with seven tackles, with two for a loss. He caught two 2 point conversions.

Jimmy Culbreath had a 61-yard touchdown reception and four tackles, with two for a loss and a forced fumble. He also had two interceptions, returning one for a 50-yard score.

Tyler Lewis had 11 carries for 4 yards and many more called back on penalties. He also recorded 4 tackles.

Brian Flurry had eight tackles with one for a loss, and an interception.

Keith Niles ran for 39 yards and a touchdown, Chris Thomas recorded five tackles and a 29-yard reception, Brayden Crockett had four tackles, with two for a loss and Baylor Weatherton had eight kickoffs for 122 yards, and only allowed 23 total return yards.

The Mustang defense had a long and hard-fought game, with 12 total tackles for loss, and only allowed 254 yards on 52 plays. Arkoma had 338 yards of offense on 37 plays.
