Obituary for Dave Ainsworth Jr.

Funeral service for Dave Ainsworth, Jr., 87, of Spiro is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro with Reverend Bryan Fouts officiating.
A private burial will follow at the Spiro City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro.

Dave was born Feb. 4, 1937 in Spiro to Susan Ona (Gill) Ainsworth and David Spence Ainsworth and passed away March 10, 2024 in Spiro.

Dave was a charter member of the Eagles Club, and loved country music and playing his guitar and singing. He was a carpenter and electrician by trade and a member of Spiro First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelba D. Fesperman Ainsworth and Patricia Miles Ainsworth; sister, Ona Bess Ainsworth Gould; and step daughter, Tami Click Williams.

Survivors include his daughter Sherie S. Smith and husband Michael; sons David “Bill” W. Ainsworth, James “Jim” E. Ainsworth and wife Mittie, and Kelly S. Ainsworth; sisters Georgia S. Ainsworth, Johnnie M. Harrison and husband Randy; grandchildren David Brent Ainsworth, Chloe Ainsworth, Larry Spence. Ainsworth, Chad Christopher Cox, Shelba Nichol Cox Wilkett, Deidra Howerton, Jamie Anderson, Sarah Mickle, B.J. Williams, Ashley Williams, Nathan Smith and wife Kristin, and Jessica Smith and Dustin Kukuk; great grandchildren David Noah, Nathan Dylan, and Haley Alyssa Ainsworth, Olivia Rose Cox, Jacob Miller, Josh Beam, Dalton and Dayne Wilkett, Emma, Lilly Caroline Mickle, Brody and Mason Howerton, Holly, Mary, Michael Anderson, Miakoda Underwood, Cody Bryant, Koltin Smith and Kanin Smith; great great grandchild, Maggie Mae Miller, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Autry and Dan Capehart.
