Obituary for Linn Terry

Funeral service for Linn Austin Terry, 27, of Howe is 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Missionary Baptist Church Gymnasium in Howe with Brother Larry Stacy and Brother Sam Dyer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Monroe Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

He was born Oct. 10, 1996 in Poteau to Chris Alan and Carla (Ritter) Terry and passed away Dec. 16, 2023 in Monroe.    

Linn was a 2015 graduate of Howe High School. He worked as a Grater Inspector for West Fraser Sawmill in Mansfield, Arkansas. Linn was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, the National Archery Association, and won state trap shooting. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and dearly loved riding his Harley Davidson. Linn was very outgoing and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all whom loved and knew him.

Surviving family members are his parents Chris and Carla Terry of Howe; one daughter,

Willow Wilson of Monroe; one brother Lane Terry and wife Rebecca of Howe; his maternal grandmother, Christine Ritter-Gregory of Howe; special friend, Britney Carpenter; two nephews and one niece Carson Hamlin, Rhett Terry and Adlynn Terry; numerous other loved ones and a host of many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bill Ritter; and his paternal grandparents, Nub and Inella Terry.

Pallbearers are Eric Blaylock, Rudy Wilson, Jordon Key, Jace Terry, Cody Terry, James Hill, Chase Blake and Hunter Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Clay Mayhew and Cody Edwards.

Viewing is from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. until noon Saturday at the funeral home.
