EDMOND –Okarche jumped out to an early bat while Wister could never get its bats going in a 5-0 loss Thursday in the opening game of the Class A state baseball tournament at Edmond Memorial.
The second-ranked Wildcats finish 25-5. Ninth-ranked Okarche advances with a 26-4 record to a semifinal game Friday against Rattan, a 5-3 winner over Wright City in another quarterfinal contest Thursday.
