Wister reigns supreme in county baseball
SPIRO – Wister won its third straight baseball LeFlore County Tournament championship Friday with a 7-2 win over Poteau in the championship game here.
Wister went undefeated in the tournament and defeated Poteau in the last two games, winning 4-3 Thursday before taking the win Friday.
The Wildcats, ranked fifth in Class 2A, improve to 12-2 and visit Red Oak Tuesday. Poteau is now 14-5 and goes to Fort Gibson Monday.
