Evening of Jazz planned

POTEAU–The LeFlore County Historical Society is holding this month’s “An Evening of Jazz” Tuesday.

The free concert starts at 6:30 p.m. at the LeFlore County Museum, 303 Dewey Avenue, in Poteau’s downtown Dewey district with the Al Grzech Trio and special guest Dr. Alex Zacharella.

This month’s concert will include music by female composers.

Zacharella is a professor of Music at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith and serves as the President-Elect of the College Music Society – South Central Chapter.

Zacharella is an active low brass and wind ensemble clinician and has presented clinics and masterclasses, performances, and research at clinics, conferences, and festivals across the country and around the world.

Light refreshments will be served.
