Funeral service for Reba Jo Amend set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Cross Community Church in Poteau with Jim Cook, Cory Thompson, and Jason Waymire officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She was born Jan. 29, 1948 in Hugo to Euell and Callie Opal Payne and passed away July 2, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Surviving family members are her husband of 54 years, Terry Amend; three daughters Vivian Amend and husband Jim May of Rome, Italy, Heather Sconyers and husband Adrian of Poteau, , and Ashley Brashers of Broken Arrow; five grandchildren Kyle Sconyers and wife Emily, Aidan, Owen and Emma Sconyers, Aubrey Brashers; one great grandchild, Emmett Sconyers. brothers Stan Payne and wife Sara, Jerald Payne and wife Bettye, Terry Paul Payne and wife Susan.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; and siblings Jack and Gwen.
