Heavener girls drop 2 in Festival

Heavener’s girls dropped a pair of games in the Howe Lady Lions Festival Saturday, losing the opener, 11-8 to Howe before coming up short against Idabel, 10-5.
Heavener is 10-7 and visits Porum Monday.
Against Howe, Heavener fell behind early before rallying to take a 5-4 lead in the top of the third. The Lady Lions added four runs in the bottom of the fourth and Heavener never regained the lead.
Kinley Brand homered and was 4-4 with three runs and two RBI and McKinley Alexander tripled while going 2-3 with a pair of RBI.

In the second game, Heavener fell behind early, 3-0, and never could catch up with the Lady Warriors.
Brand doubled and was 2-3 with two runs and Mariana Garcia went 2-4 with a run scored.
