Funeral services for Charles Lucius McFerren, 67, of Spiro are noon Saturday at Mallory-Martin Chapel in Spiro with Brother Eddie Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at Spiro City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
He was born April 2, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to Reola (Smith) McFerren and T.J. McFerren and died Nov. 22, 2023 in Spiro. Charles, also known as “Charlie” by many of his friends and classmates was a long-time resident of Spiro Nursing Home and will be missed dearly. He graduated from Spiro High School in 1976. Charlie was easy going, enjoyed math, music, working crosswords and word find puzzles, playing bingo, and watching OU Sooners sports.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory two brothers Tilton of Wichita, Kansas, Larry and wife Kelly of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters Rozena and husband Danny of Spiro, and Rachel of Spiro; numerous nieces, great nieces. nephews, great nephews and a host of many other family and friends.
Preceding him in death are are his parents; and sister, Rosetta McFerren-Cook.
Viewing is noon to 7 p.m. Friday where the family visitation is from 5-7 p.m.
