Pocola boys win LCT again

Pocola’s boys were simply too athletic for the other teams in LeFlore County again in 2023 and the Indians claimed the 2023 LCT championship with a 59-34 win over Wister Saturday night in the finals at Spiro.

After an off night Friday in a 35-26 win over Spiro, the Indians jumped out to a 16-0 lead early against the Wildcats and surpassed the previous night’s point total early in the third quarter of the dominating win.

Garrett Scott, the tournament MVP, led Pocola with 18 points and Dakota Terrell added 15.

C.J. Halford scored 19 for Wister.
