Poteau’s girls will host Stigler in the Class 4A fast pitch softball super regional starting Thursday.
The winner of the best-of-three series advances to the 4A state tournament next week while the loser is eliminated.
Game times are at noon and 2 p.m. The time for the “if” game, if necessary has not been disclosed.
The two teams were in District 4A-6 this season, splitting their two games. Stigler won the opener at home, 9-8, on Aug. 18 before the Lady Pirates won the second game, 5-3, on Aug. 24 at home.
Sixth-ranked Poteau is 30-7 on the season. Stigler, ranked 11th, is 25-7.
