Pocola will pair off with Preston in an opening-round game of the Class 2A fast pitch softball state tournament 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Firelake Ball Park in Shawnee.
Pocola is 30-4 and ranked second. Preston is 32-5 and seventh after defeating Wister twice in the regionals.
The winner of Thursday’s game advanced to play the Oktaha/Fairland winner 2:30 p.m. Friday, also at the Firelake Ball Park.
The championship game is 4 p.m. Saturday at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
