Funeral services set for Mavis Tobler

Funeral services set for Mavis Tobler, 89, of Spiro for 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Spiro with Reverend James Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
 
She was born March 26, 1934 to Walter Samuel and Janie Josephine (Hickman) Boyd and passed away June 27, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Surviving family members are her son Enie Tobler III and wife Rhonda; son-in-law David Kerns; grandchildren Garon Kerns and wife Janelle, Kristin Perdue, and Chris Tobler and wife Michelle; great-grandchildren Tori Kerns, Jaxon Perdue, Emma Perdue, Adrion Kerns and Scarlett Tobler; and sister, Irma Barrigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Enie Tobler, Jr.; her daughter, Donna Kerns; and her sisters Rosetta Whitehead, Freda Whitehead, Sylvia Haywood, Mildred Snow  and Comella Bone.

Honorary Pallbearers are family members; Chris Tobler, Garon Kerns, Adrion Kerns, Jaxon Perdue, David Kerns and Steve Cherry.

The family will visit with friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
